Has anyone else noticed that their coffee maker mysteriously dies right after the warranty expires? I swear it's planned obsolescence at its finest. My last machine worked perfectly for exactly 13 months before the heating element just gave up. I'm convinced manufacturers design these things with a built-in expiration date, and I'm starting to wonder if we should all just go back to pour-over methods. Does anyone have recommendations for actually durable coffee makers, or am I doomed to replace mine every couple of years?
