Our washing machine hose split while we were at work in Lynnwood

Hi all. Our washing machine hose split while we were at work in Lynnwood, and we came home to water all over the laundry room and into the hallway. The hardwood is already starting to cup. Is it salvageable if it gets dried fast, or is it a goner? And who should I call for drying that actually knows what they're doing? Insurance is already involved, but I have no idea what to expect. Any advice from people who've been through this? The floors are original oak and I'd really hate to lose them.

Sorry, that's such a sinking feeling when you open the door. Hardwood can sometimes be saved if it's dried quickly and properly, but it really depends on how long it sat and how deep the water got. When our dishwasher line failed in Mill Creek, we called Encore Construction, and they put specialized drying equipment right on the hardwood plus big dehumidifiers. About half of our floor flattened back out. The rest had to be replaced, and they did the replacement too, so we didn't have to hunt for another contractor. They handled the insurance paperwork directly with our carrier. Speed matters a lot here, so call someone today. And replace that hose with a steel-braided one.
