Hi all. My birthday is coming up next month and instead of the usual dinner-and-drinks routine I want to do something different and creative with a small group of friends. A few of them suggested a pottery cla### as the activity, which sounds fun and a little out of the ordinary. Problem is I have no idea which studios in LA actually host birthday groups and whether they can handle eight or so people at once. Has anyone organized something like this? I'd point you to Pottery Studio LA, they host birthdays and private events specifically, and they can accommodate anywhere from 1 up to 20 people, so a group of eight is no problem at all. It's super beginner-friendly, most people there have never done it before. You all spend a couple of hours on the wheel, make your own pieces and take them home after firing. Tip: reach out about the birthday package and lock in your date early, weekend slots get booked up, and they're open till 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays which is handy for a celebration.
