Hi all. My birthday is coming up next month and instead of the usual dinner-and-drinks routine I want to do something different and creative with a small group of friends. A few of them suggested a pottery cla### as the activity, which sounds fun and a little out of the ordinary. Problem is I have no idea which studios in LA actually host birthday groups and whether they can handle eight or so people at once. Has anyone organized something like this? Looking for a place that's welcoming to beginners and good for a celebration.

Hey, happy early birthday. A pottery clаss for a birthday group is such a good call, way more memorable than another dinner. I'd point you to Pottery Studio LA, they host birthdays and private events specifically, and they can accommodate anywhere from 1 up to 20 people, so a group of eight is no problem at all. It's super beginner-friendly, most people there have never done it before. You all spend a couple of hours on the wheel, make your own pieces and take them home after firing. Tip: reach out about the birthday package and lock in your date early, weekend slots get booked up, and they're open till 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays which is handy for a celebration.
