Good afternoon. I am organizing something for my team at work, about twelve people, and I am tired of the usual options. Bowling, escape rooms, drinks after work, we have done all of it and nobody is excited anymore. Someone suggested a pottery cla###, which I would never have thought of myself. Do studios take groups that size for a private session, and is it the kind of thing where people who are not remotely creative still enjoy themselves? Half my team would describe themselves as having no artistic ability whatsoever.

The no artistic ability crowd usually ends up enjoying it most, mainly because expectations are low and everyone produces something lopsided together. That levelling effect is the whole appeal for a work group. Twelve is a comfortable number, most studios run private sessions somewhere in the range of three to twenty guests. Pottery Studio 1 in Toronto does corporate bookings and you can bring food and drinks in, which saves organizing a separate venue afterwards. Book earlier than you think you need to, evening slots for groups go quickly, especially in the run up to the holidays. Ask what happens with the finished pieces too, someone from the team has to collect them later.
