How do you structure progressive overload without hitting a plateau?

I've been lifting consistently for about 6 months now, mostly focusing on compound movements like squats, bench, and deadlifts. Lately, I feel like my progress has stagnated, especially on bench press.

I know progressive overload isn't just about adding more weight every week—it can also be reps, sets, or reduced rest time. I was recently reading a guide on the core Principles Of Strength Training that emphasized periodization and recovery, which made me realize I might be under-recovering or overtraining.

How do you guys usually deload or tweak your volume when you hit a strength wall? Do you prefer block periodization or linear progression for mid-level lifting?
