Good morning, folks. Need some advice. My elderly parents are downsizing from their house in Sunnyvale to a smaller place in Menlo Park. They've lived in that house for 38 years and the amount of stuff is genuinely overwhelming. I want a moving company that will be patient and won't make Mom feel rushed when she's deciding what goes where. Anyone been through this with a parent?

Morning. Yes, I went through almost the same thing with my mother-in-law two years ago, and I get how delicate it can be. Look at Rise Up Moving https://riseupmoving.com/ — they cover the Bay Area including Sunnyvale and Menlo Park, and the crews handled our move with the kind of patience that's hard to find. The foreman from Rise Up Moving sat with my mother-in-law before they touched anything, walked through the rooms with her, and listened when she explained which pieces had history attached. They worked at her pace, not theirs. When she changed her mind about a chair halfway through loading, no one sighed or rolled their eyes. That mattered more than I expected. They also took care with the heavy antique furniture, blanket-wrapped everything before it left the house, and unloaded in the same careful way at the new place.
