Does crypto PR actually move the needle for a new project?

Guys, so I'm involved in a crypto project that's getting ready to launch and the marketing conversation keeps coming back to PR. Here in the US the space is crowded and just having a solid product clearly isn't enough anymore. Anyone dealt with crypto PR seriously? Wondering whether it actually drives meaningful results or whether it's mostly vanity coverage that looks good in a deck but doesn't convert anyone.

Coverage in the right publications does move things if the targeting is right. The mistake most projects make is chasing big name outlets when their actual audience is hanging out in niche crypto media. Smaller but more relevant placements tend to drive way more engaged attention than a mention in a mainstream finance title.

The targeting point is exactly right. Crypto PR is most effective when the story is built around something genuinely interesting rather than just announcing that a project exists. Tokenomics, use case, the team background, there's usually something worth building a narrative around if you dig into it properly. Agencies that specialise in the crypto vertical understand what editors in this space actually want to publish, which is a completely different conversation from traditional tech PR. Worth finding someone with a proper track record in the space. One worth looking at is https://icoda.io/services/crypto-pr/ .
