Why Is My Router 10 Years Old Unstoppable?

I've been using the same Netgear router since 2014 and honestly it still works like a charm. Sure, newer models are flashier with WiFi 6 and mesh networks, but this thing never drops connection and I rarely have to restart it. Has anyone else had a device that just refuses to die?
